We purchased this from Ethan Allen in 2008. It's sat atop our bedroom dresser, and my husband kept his watches and some personal momentos inside. Definitely coulld be used in any area of your home. Hand painted on top, front and both sides. Height 8.5", length 14", width 8.5" Weighs about 8 lbs Lined with felt and has felt "feet." Inside does have a small stain.
