Lovely antique Amethyst glass tobacco jar, humidor. Stamped on the lid is Patented December 7, 1915. The lid is very buy purple. The base not so much. No cracks. Lid has two chips in the teeth that hold the moisture cloth I have tried to show them in the photographs. The opening around the jar is a little rough but no real chips. Both pieces have bubbles in the glass. Very nice jar. I purchased these together and believe they have always been together. However, I can not guarantee that. Found one on line, not in as good condition for $140.00.
